Gavin Bailey is selected for the Senior World Championships in Paris!!

Gavin Bailey is continuing to progress in his Senior Karate career after getting selected to compete in the Senior World Championships in November, in Paris.

Having competed in the Junior Worlds in 2009, and the Junior Europeans in both 2010 and 2011, Gavin has now firmly cemented his place in the Senior squad having competed in the Senior Europeans in early 2012 and now in the Worlds Championships.

Gavin is also in the running for the Individual event which is yet to be decided.

As well as representing England at the Europeans and Worlds, this summer Gavin has also been participating in invitational competitions in Europe and the Middle East.  Firstly, Gavin travelled to France and participated at the Paris Invitational event.  Gavin fought fantastically in both the individuals and team event, fighting some very experience Senior athletes.   Gavin now travels to Qatar for the prestigious Qatar open, where he is competing in the team event.

Although both these events have no official title attached to them, the experience for Gavin is invaluable for his Senior progression.
