Aneesha Pancha, Gavin Bailey and Sensei Andy Return Home As World Champions!!!

Four of Ken-Bu-Kan's elite athletes competed at the 6th WIKF World Championships in Dallas, USA.  The squad returned home with 3 World titles, 4 silvers and 4 Bronze medals taking an impressive total tally of 11 medals!!!

It was an incredible display from Aneesha, Gavin and Sensei Andy, who all outclassed their opponents in their final show case events.  Each member of the squad also took part in team events and came away with podium finishes as well.

 

WORLD CHAMPIONS:

Gavin Bailey - Senior Male Kumite <68K

Aneesha Pancha - Senior Female Kumite <55K

Sensei Andy – Male Masters <70K

SILVERS:

Gavin Bailey & Sensei Andy - Senior Male Team

Sensei Andy – Senior Male Kata

Sensei Andy – Male Masters Kata

BRONZE:

Nikkisha Bailey – Female 12-13 >50K

Nikkisha Bailey – Female 12-15 Team

Aneesha Pancha - Senior Female Team

Sensei Andy – Mens Tanto Dori

 

 

 

Sensei Andy, who was also coaching the entire England team, competedin every possible event during these Championships and medalled in each one, taking more medals than any other athlete. Sensei Andy dedicated his success to his late Sensei,Tatsuo Suzuki who passed away just weeks before the Championships.
