2012 "Young Guns" Summer Competition

Over 40 junior students from Ken-Bu-Kan schools across North London and Essex took part in the fund raising summer competition.  Over 60 supporters, parents and senior students packed out the Highbury Dojo, cheered on Ken-Bu-Kan’s youngest students and witnessed some fantastic bouts from all the age categories.

Not only was the event run to raise funds for Ken-Bu-Kan’s ‘Young Guns’ but it provided all those who have never competed before to take part in a friendly club competition.  It also allowed all the parents to watch their children in action, who were all so proud of their achievements.  Finally, it gave the Ken-Bu-Kan ‘All Stars’ a real taste of coaching athletes in competition, which was an experience enjoyed by all.

It was a great event all round and I’d like to personally thank all those who ensured that this event was a success for everyone.  I’d also like to thank all those who generously gave additional contribution towards the Ken-Bu-Kan Sport Fund.

Well done again to everyone and we look forward to seeing everyone competing again in our Ken-Bu-Kan Winter Competition.
